Tanera in the Press
Just occasionally Tanera gets written about, or we write about Tanera. Below are some of the recent mentions of Tanera in the press...
The Scots Magazine
Scottish Islands Explorer Magazine 2011
This year Lizzie has a column in the Scottish Islands Explorer magazine about life on Tanera throughout the seasons.
Read the introductory column in the November-December 2010 issue, then each of the year's articles:
January-February 2011 - setting the scene.
March - April 2011 - tales of our winter on Tanera (plumbing disasters and all!)
May - June 2011 - Spring is finally springing.
July - August 2011 - Summer residents have arrived.
September - October 2011 - Summer in all its mad glory.
November - December 2011 - Tanera is quiet again.
The Scottish Islands Explorer magazine also featured Tanera, and the work of Bill and Jean, in the March-April 2010 issue.
"You cannot help but fall in love with the big skies and teeming wildlife of Tanera Mòr, the largest island in the Summer Isles archipelago, and you cannot help but be inspired by the Wilder family, who run residential courses there. Fourteen years ago, Wiltshire dairy farmers Bill and Jean Wilder were looking for new challenges and found them on the isle, where they now let holiday cottages. Their daughter, conservationist Lizzie Williams, runs courses ranging from willow weaving and sea kayaking to yoga and creative writing." (I promise I didn't write it myself!)
Our Christmas Newsletter
I'm not sure it really counts as 'In the Press' but we thought you might like to read this round-up of what we've been getting up to over the past year, which we we sent out to friends of Tanera during the deep freeze before Christmas.
